Medisoft medical billing software releases new version 14 that includes great new features.

One of the best new features is the executive or administrative dashboard. This neat new feature gives you a "snapshot" of important details about your practice. For example, you can see how much money is in account receivables, how many claims are waiting to be billed, or how many appointments you have scheduled for today.

Another new feature is patient quick entry. This new feature in medisoft version 14 allows you to create a Template for various billing scenarios- these templates hold only the fields that you define for that template. For example you could create a template for "medicare" patients; workmen's comp patients; medicaid patients; Blue Cross Blue Shield; accident; and or UB04 patients. Then instead of going to the patient CHART and having to wade thru the different fields when entering info, you only fill in the fields that were defined when the template was created. This not only speeds up data entry tremendously, but also is great for new employees as they only fill in information that needed, and they don't have to wade thru all the tabs and fields in the patient case.

Another new feature is new fields for UB04 billing on paper.

Do you bill for surgery? Global days is a new feature that allows you to enter a procedure as a "global" charge and then if charges are posted within the coverage period, the charges automatically get reset to 0 (zero) billing amount.
